    Three Webinars for NCP Structures in CA and EaP Countries on Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions and more

    The Marie Skłodowska-Curie actions, named after the double Nobel Prize winning Polish-French scientist famed for her work on radioactivity, support researchers at all stages of their careers, irrespective of nationality. Researchers working across all disciplines are eligible for funding. The 1st webinar on 14 April 2016 will concentrate on MSCA opportunities for individual researchers, the 2nd webinar on 29 April 2016 will focus on opportunities for institutions from Central Asian and Eastern Partnership countries. A webinar on the functionalities of the Participant Portal will be organised in May 2016.

    Policy Stakeholders Conference on ‘EU-Central Asia STI Cooperation in Addressing Health’

    The Conference will provide the opportunity for an in-depth exchange of views among high-level policymakers, representatives of the research communities in the EU/MS AC and the CA countries, as well as other key stakeholders active in the region on regional and international policies, research programmes and projects addressing Health. The aim of the Conference is to increase synergies among stakeholders and actions as well as to shape future cooperative initiatives addressing Health.

    Expert Group Meetings for Recommendations on EU-CA Science, Technology & Innovation Cooperation in 'Health' and 'Climate Change'

    The FP7-funded Projects IncoNet CA and Inconet EaP are organising a series of Expert Group Meetings. The meetings are part of an evaluation of the outcomes of the major activities in three topics, namely: Health, Climate Change and Energy, addressed by the IncoNet CA and IncoNet EaP projects. In addition, the Expert Group Meetings aim to provide recommendations for the future of EU-CA and EU-EaP cooperation in these fields. To that purpose, one Expert Group Meeting for each topic is organised for each of the two target regions 'Eastern Partnership' and 'Central Asia', making it six workshops altogether.

    Young Researchers Forum in Central Asia: Cooperation Perspectives with the European Union on Climate Change, Energy and Health in the context of Horizon 2020

    IncoNet CA will organise a forum for young researchers in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan on 9 June 2016. Τhe forum will aim at creating a platform for exchange and broadening existing EU- CA collaborative channels, involving young researchers and new research organisations, enhancing the visibility of Horizon 2020 and opening a dialogue on concrete perspectives for research collaboration between the European and Central Asian research communities.

    Expert Group Meeting for Recommendations on EU-CA Science, Technology & Innovation Cooperation in 'Energy'

    he FP7-funded Projects IncoNet CA and Inconet EaP successfully organised two Expert Group Meetings in order to discuss the outcomes of the Energy-related activities of the projects and provide recommendations for the future of EU-CA and EU-EaP cooperation in the field of Energy Research on 25th and 26th April 2016 in Athens, respectively. The meetings were organised in the framework of an evaluation of the outcomes of the major activities in three topics, namely, Health, Climate Change and Energy. To that purpose, one Expert Group Meeting for each topic is organised for each of the two target regions 'Eastern Partnership' and 'Central Asia'.

The workshop brought together scientists and policymakers from the EU, Central Asia and beyond to discuss the current situation as well as future chances and challenges in EU-Central Asia water-related research cooperation.

    Networking activities and H2020 training for Central Asia Energy experts in the Energy Days Graz 2016

    IncoNet CA supported the participation of Central Asian energy experts (sepcialists in solar technology, photovoltaic, heating and cooling, and ecological building material) in the Energy Days Graz, an international Energy Efficiency brokerage event. The event was organised by the ICS (Internationalisation Center Styria) in cooperation with its partner SFG (Styrian Business Promotion Agency).

    Horizon 2020 Info Day at the Nazarbayev University

    An Info Day for the Horizon 2020, the EU Framework Programme for Research and Innovation, took place at the Nazarbayev University, on 26 November 2015 in Astana, Kazakhstan. The Regional Centre for Information and Scientific Development (Hungary) and the National Contact Point of H2020 in Kazakhstan – InExCB-KZ presented the rules of participation in Horizon 2020 and financial aspects to the academic and scientific staff of Nazarbayev University.

    Open Call for Presentations for the Young Researchers Forum in Central Asia, Bishkek, 9 June 2016

    In the framework of the Young Researchers Forum in Central Asia that will take place on 9 June 2016, in Bishkek/Kyrgyzstan, up to 5 Central Asia young researchers will be selected by the organising committee of the forum to present their research and how this could match with open or forthcoming topics of Horizon 2020 on climate change, energy or health.
