Project Structure

The project addresses the countries of Central Asia and the South Caucasus as well as Moldova. IncoNet CA/SC aims to strengthen their policy dialogue with the EU by providing additional insight from and into these target countries. The project also benefits from the activities of the already ongoing IncoNet EECA project, particularly the bi-regional Policy Stakeholders' Conferences.
In concert with IncoNet EECA, IncoNet CA/SC will implement specific activities to strengthen coordination and increase participation of institutes and researchers from CA/SC and MO in FP7. Thus, it also serves to expedite their integration in the growing European Research Area. Activities include:
  • Identification of key institutes in the CA/SC and MO as potential partners for cooperation in EU projects.
  • Mapping and monitoring of S&T cooperation patterns feeding the policy dialogue.
  • Improvement of the S&T indicator system in CA/SC, MO to reduce existing incongruities and weaknesses that constitute an obstacle for S&T policy making.
  • Improvement of NCP/NIP-structure capabilities in CA/SC, MO.
  • Mapping of innovation policies in CA/SC, MO and of activities for simulating participation of local private sector FP7.
