NCP Training for Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan

This training for National Contact Points was organised by the International Bureau of the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research in Bonn in a joint effort of Inconet EECA and IncoNet CA/SC.
Following a previous, very successful one-week training visit for EECA partner countries (UA, BY, MD) in Bonn, Germany in October 2009, another five-day one-week training for FP7 Contact Point Representatives from Central Asia (KG, KZ, TJ, TM, UZ) was successfully organized by DLR on 11-15 April 2011 in Bonn, Germany.

The training covered the following topics:
  • Day 1  FP7 – Let’s Get Started (including “FP7 Essentials”)
  • Day 2  Advising Researchers in Legal and Financial Aspects of FP7
  • Day 3  NCP Networking Day (including “Tasks and skills of an NCP” and presentations of
     German thematic NCPs)
  • Day 4  Practical Experiences with FP7 (“Administration” and “Communication”)
  • Day 5  The Broad Perspective: Other Programmes – Common Strategic Framework – Looking Ahead (including “Other Programmes and Instruments” and “Common Strategic Framework – What do we expect?”)

Participants from all five Central Asian countries (KG, KZ, TJ, TM, UZ) were invited. Altogether, 15 representatives from the region (3 from each country nominated by the respective partners / FP7 Contact Points) participated in the training.

The training session was organised by the IncoNet EECA project with the support of the International Bureau of BMBF in cooperation with the EU-Bureau. The contents of the training sessions were provided by the FP7 NCPS in Germany as well as from DLR project members.
