    Twinning Grants: IncoNet CA supports 'Twinning between Research Institutions'

    Our 'Twinning Grants' will support collaboration with your partners to jointly participate in Horizon2020 calls. Twinning is a core activity of IncoNet CA and has a long tradition in Europe as a successful instrument in capacity building processes.

    EU-Central Asia STI Policy Stakeholders' Conference

    The Policy Stakeholder Conference (PSC) in Bishkek, hosted by the Parliament of the Kyrgyz Republic, will be the first in a series of this type of policy dialogue activities organised under the IncoNet CA project. The aim of the event is to involve key stakeholders and discuss issues related to the Societal Challenge 'Climate Action, Environment, Resource Efficiency and Raw Materials' and cooperation possibilities between the EU Member States/Associated Countries and the Central Asian Countries in this field.

    Regional Training for Central Asian NCPs held in Istanbul

    A training activity for National Contact Points (NCPs) in Central Asian countries was organised by TÜBİTAK in Istanbul on 12-13 March 2014 under Task 4.3 'Promotion of Horizon2020' of the IncoNet CA Project. 14 NCPs from 5 Central Asian countries (Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenisatan and Kyrgyzistan) and 4 trainers attended the event. Representatives of experienced EU MS/AC NCPs gave presentations about the role of National Contact Points within 'Horizon2020', the EU's current framework programme for research and innovation. Active participation of the trainees were promoted by organising group activities.

    Grant Scheme to facilitate the Participation of Central Asian Countries in EU Brokerage Events

    This grant scheme will financially support the participation of local researchers from Central Asian countries in large-scale brokerage events and other similar activities related to Horizon2020 in the EU Members States or Associated Countries. The thematic priorities of the call are the three Societal Challenges, targeted by the project, namely Health, Energy and Climate Change. There will be approximately 6-9 grants (2000-3000 EUR per grant) per country.

    Horizon 2020 Info Days in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan

    Three successful Info Days on 'Horizon 2020' – the new EU Framework Programme for Research and Innovation – informed the science communities of Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan about funding tools, upcoming calls and other opportunities for international cooperation.     Two new policy dialogue projects between the EU and Central Asia/the Eastern Partnership countries launched

    Two new projects, 'IncoNet EaP' (STI International Cooperation Network for Eastern Partnership Countries) and 'IncoNet CA'  (STI International Cooperation Network for Central Asian Countries) started with a joint kick-off event in Athens on 18-20 September 2013.
